Sometimes the biggest opportunities come from taking a chance especially when no one else believes in you.
Back in 2019, while running my own wax melt and home fragrance business, I saw Chloe Ferry post an Instagram story asking if anyone could design product labels for her brand. At that time, people around me didn’t really believe in what I was doing. Some said my business wouldn’t last. Even my own family didn’t fully understand it or support it. But I replied anyway. I gave it a shot. And that one message changed everything. What started as a simple response turned into one of the biggest moments of my career. I went on to design multiple product labels for Chloe Ferry and her team, create custom Christmas crackers filled with wax melts I’d made myself, and even supply her business with home fragrance products. Then came the moment I’ll never forget being invited to Chloe’s shop in Newcastle to meet her and the team in person. From there, we secured even bigger projects and deeper collaboration.
Working with a celebrity brand so early in my journey wasn't just exciting it was validating. It proved to me that my work was good enough. That my creativity did have value. And that all the people who doubted me were wrong. That experience didn’t just build my portfolio. It built my confidence, my direction, and ultimately, The Label Lad you see today.
